Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate Students carrying nine or more hours are REQUIRED to have health insurance through either the Texas Christian University Student Health Insurance or an individual/family plan.

The Texas Christian University Student Health Insurance Plan is a major medical policy providing benefits for injuries and illnesses both on and off campus.

Students who have adequate health insurance coverage through a family/individual policy which will remain in effect throughout the 2008-2009 academic year may go to The Health Center homepage under Insurance, Elect/Waive and waive the university-offered insurance.  If not waived by the deadline, the student is auto-enrolled and billed the semester charge of $623.

Deadline to waive for the Fall semester is August 29, 2008. Coverage dates are August 15, 2008 to January 09, 2009.

Undergraduates taking less than nine semester hours have the option of specifically enrolling in the Texas Christian University Student Health Insurance Plan by going to the Health Center homepage, under Insurance, click on Elect/Waive and choose ELECT at the appropriate screen.  Be sure to SUBMIT your choice.

Health Services at TCU's Brown Lupton Health Center are available to all students regardless of their insurance coverage.
